Ryan Leslie is the New Stephon Urkel!!!

Musical genius Ryan Leslie dropped his sophomore album "Transition" yesterday only months after his critically acclaimed self titled debut album. What really impresses me about this dude is not only his tenacity, but the fact that this man went into the studio ALONE, produced an album by playing ALL the instruments, and came out with a hot album with ONLY ONE feature from another artist! BOW IN THE PRESENCE OF GREATNESS!
He begins the album with [my favorite] a funk inspired "Never Gonna Break Up". This song has probably climbed up my top 25 faster than any other that has ever been imported into my iTunes [currently #11]. I must say that I don't understand why Leslie titled the album "transition", because I would say its more of a follow up to his previous work, which is not a bad thing at all. Ryan Leslie has so much [for a lack of better word] swag for one individual. Not only is he singing on the album, he actually raps too, and it doesn't suck. He did a little rapping on the previous album, but he actually goes in on "Something That I Like" with Pusha T. Other songs of note include "Zodiac", and a Stephon Urkel reminiscent "Rescue U" on the deluxe edition. "Transition" is definitely a must have for any serious R&B buffs. Download it from iTunes here.

Album Review: In Love & War by Amerie

Yesterday Amerie released her highly anticipated fourth album "In Love & War", and I must say that it is one of the best R&B releases this year. This album definitely proves that there is a place for Amerie in mainstream music.
After much criticism and a brief disappearance from the music scene, Amerie is back with much ferocity, and her sound is better than ever. With songs such as "Tell Me You Love Me", "Dangerous", and "Why R U" she reminds us exactly why we like her and rooted for her in the past. Not only does she give us her classic go-go sound, she delivers a different sound on "Higher", a 1960s Jimi Hendrix inspired groovy rock jam, and "Red Eye", a smooth ballad produced by Bryan-Michael Cox. Although I have never pinned Amerie as one of the best female vocals, and she does have some shaky notes throughout the album, she makes up for it with her unique sound. Get it on iTunes here.

New Music: Rihanna feat. Young Jeezy - Hard

I gues Rihanna is getting the same leakage treatment like everyone else. I would say that this is my favorite so far. Pop the top to listen.

Air Jordan 1 High Premier Metallic Zinc / Dark Obsidian

The Air Jordan I has long been the shoe that could do no wrong for its classic silhouette and game-changing profile. For the holiday season, two new tonal releases are on the way in the form of the Metallic Zinc and the Dark Obsidian. The two styles feature clean albeit patent leather uppers with subtle Air Jordan markings. Both shoes are releasing later this month at select Jordan Brand retailers. More images after the jump.

In other Rihanna news, She will appear on Good Morning America Thursday morning at 7am and Friday at 9pm est she will be on 20/20. I definitely will be tuning in to that! New Music: Ryan Leslie - To The Top

I really cant wait for next week! Ryan Leslie will be releasing his second album this year November 3. Looks like November is shaping up to be a good month for music.

New Music: Amerie ft. Fabolous - More Than Love

Amerie has the musical taste of a rapper! Think about ti, what female R&B artist would do a song to this track? I love it. "In Love & War" is the name of the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Amerie scheduled for release next Tuesday November 3, 2009.

Official Video: Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz- I Can Transform Ya

"Graffiti" is the forthcoming third studio album from Chris Brown. It is currently set for release on December 15, 2009. This first single, "Transform Ya" has yet to really grow on me, but the video is so dope! It really is a reminder of just how much of a talent Chris Brown is. What I really cant wait to see is the album sales.

New Music: Mary J. Blige - I Can See In Color

its odd how the lyrics to this are mostly happy, but Mary's voice is just as sad as ever. I like it though.

New Music: Keri Hilson - I Like

I really like this one. Even though Keri probably wrote it for someone else, I think that she should take her music in this direction.

New Music: Tyga & Lloyd - Party Girl

This is extra silky! I would have never thought to put Tyga and Lloyd together, but I guess it makes sense because they are both highly underrated.
