The Real World Brooklyn: Episode Uno

Last night the long awaited 21 season of the Real World premiered on MTV, and despite previous years of apathy, I can really see myself wrapped up in this cast.
First, and most notably, we have Katelynn, the first ever transgender woman on the show. I'm not going to debate whether or not being transgender is OK, I just really feel that it is refreshing to see a new type of character on this show. It will be interesting to see how she gets along in the upcoming episodes. On to Chet; after watching the first episode, this guy sorta reminds me of the infamous Puck, with a little religion to tag along. Although he claims to be a devout Mormon who has sworn off sex and booze, his taste for fashion and a few slips of the mouth has got me questioning his sexuality. Word on the street [blogs] is that this guy is straight up homo [nothing against it on my end]. Also, apparently, he has a thing for practical jokes [as seen in the video above]. It fascinates me that, seemingly, his first joke is played out on JD [the actual gay one]. I'm sure you all know what psychologist say about reasons why people tend to act out towards others [mancrush alert] lol! I guess the real "bromance" is between Chet and Ryan. Clearly Ryan will be the main gossip source in the house this season. I really didn't believe him when he said that he could figure out an individual within the first five minutes of knowing them, but I must admit, the man is a amature shrink. With his veteran background I predict that he will quickly become America's sweetheart. Speaking of sweethearts, the house has a beauty queen this year. Devyn [the dude], former Miss America Teen, seems to be the high maintenance one out of the bunch. I really can't say too much more about her seeing as how she didn't get too much shine in the first episode. She does have a crush on Scott, the bodybuilder / model hopeful. I can't say too much about him either for similar reasons, but I don't see this kindergarten crush going anywhere. Next is Baya; she might be my favorite. She really didn't get too much shine either, but she is an aspiring hip-hop dancer, and I love her just for that. Lastly there is Sarah. I really haven't gotten a feel for this lesbian turned bisexual, tattooed chick. despite her excellent style and charming smile, the previews for the rest of the season seem to allude to her being the wild card drama chick. Whatever the case I do hope she manages to make friends in the house.
Over all, I am really excited about this season. For the first time in a while the cast members have the option of finding their own jobs instead of doing a group project. And finally I have something socially stimulating to watch on TV [beside the new season of Nip/Tuck, which is that shit]. I can't wait for next weeks episode, which is previewed above.
