Official Video: OneRepublic - Secrets

I really like this song, but as I said in with Alicia Keys, I really would like to see OneRepublic switch it up. They gained a huge hip-hop following after working with Timbaland on their debut album, so it would only be natural for them to work with more hip-hop artist, right? Lead singer, Ryan Tedder, insists that he doesn't sample himself, but I would beg to differ. All of his music production has such a similar sound. I had to listen to the chorus several times because I swear I can sing the lyrics to Leona Lewis' "Better In Time", also written and produced by Tedder, to the same tune. Funny thing is that I really don't listen to Leona so much lol. Either way, this is the second single from OneRepublic's forthcoming album "Waking Up", due out in stores November 17, 2009.

The video was directed by Wayne Isham, who also did Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs,” ‘N Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye” and Britney Spears‘ “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.” The song is the first single off OneRepublic’s next album Waking Up, out November 17.

Kelly Clarkson 'Already Gone'

So I'm sure you've all heard how upset Kelly Clarkson is over her newest song "Already Gone". It seems that Ryan Tedder, lead singer of OneRepublic, gave Beyonce a very similar track that she turned into her song "Halo". “No one’s gonna be sittin’ at home, thinkin’ ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to,’ ” Kelly says. “No, they’re just gonna be sayin’ I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said, ‘I don’t understand. Why would you do that?’ “ I have one question for Kelly: do you not listen to the radio or watch music videos? Evidently she would have heard Beyonce's version by now. Even though you got jipped, be glad. Now you're back in the spotlight, and I'm sure everyone is interested to hear the other six songs you wrote with Tedder to see if he bit off anything else he previously created. That means more album sales!
