The Newton Table is designed to explore the potential of molded plywood. Its designer, Karl Andersson, employs 3D design software and 5-axis mills to create newly possible forms with the material. His interest in plywood comes from its efficiency in manufacture. Andersson also claims that high quality furniture inspires owners to hold on longer. In a recent interview with the BBC, Radiohead have announced that the follow up album to their 2007’s “In Rainbows” is in the early stages of recording. Bassist Colin Greenwood revealed of their initial recordings: “It was very noisy and chaotic and really fun…It’s at the stage where we’ve got the big Lego box out and we’ve tipped it out on the floor and we’re just looking at all the bits and thinking what’s next?” Im super excited.
