The Newton Table is designed to explore the potential of molded plywood. Its designer, Karl Andersson, employs 3D design software and 5-axis mills to create newly possible forms with the material. His interest in plywood comes from its efficiency in manufacture. Andersson also claims that high quality furniture inspires owners to hold on longer. This notion pushes the idea that good design is, in and off itself, sustainable design. (via Frame Mag). Click the pic[s] for a larger view.
