Obama is Still the Shit, this Time Dan Rathers can Get It in the Ear

Check this clip where Dan Rathers, anchor of CBS Evening News for 24 years, calls Obama Osama bin Laden.

“With Jesse Jackson…I have a great respect for Jesse Jackson, that he was an important figure in paving the way for an Osama bin Laden to appear. But this is one of those things, I think, by the time we get to the conventions no one’s going to remember it. It doesn’t count for very much.”

Whats worse is that nobody said anything. I don't care how old or how respected Rathers is, he needs to apologize for this. As a senior member of the press he should know better than to make a mistake like that on live television. What hurts me most is that this comment was made on my prefered news station, MSNBC. Damn, I would only expect this from Fox. But as always, Obama is still the shit. He is currently traveling abroad in Afganistan after a breif visit to the Eroupean nations where an estimated 80% prefer him over McCain.

Deelishis Could Use Some Cocobutter | Tocarra Dresses Cool

Check out the best and the worst of the guest list for a private bowling party this weekend in Miami. While Tocarra showed up looking very sexy, yet relaxed in her casual wear, Deelishis looks a cold ass mess! Look at all those stretch marks. Somebody might be a little too comfortable in her own skin.

BET Gets Educational?????!

Well finally the folks over at BET gave Jeff Johnson a show. Too bad its comes on at 11pm instead of the afternoon when kids get out of school, but hey, can't ask these people for too much. I seriously might unblock BET just to watch this show. Its called The Truth and it airs Fridays this fall at 11pm.

The Ladies of The View Discuss the "N Word"

At this time I really can't give a straight forward opinion on this issue. But I can tell you that we all knew Jesse Jackson has always been a hypocrite.

Currently Reading: All The Rage [The Banned Boondocks Strips]

After completing Roots earlier this week, I decided that my brain needed a break, so yesterday I picked up All the Rage. This book, by Aaron McGruder containes all the best Boondock strips from the newspapers, and even the ones that were banned. All I can say is that it takes a real genius to acurately make sense of all the stupidity that is the American culture in a few short sentences [within each strip], and make it incredibly funny. Mr. McGruder is my hero.

The Dark Night

OK, so me and a friend went to see the 12am showing of the Dark Night this morning. We were sitting in the theater for sometime before everyone in there started to notice that the movie was late. Long story short, the projector in that theater was messed up, we had to move to another, and someone made a joke about fashioning a noose from the theater curtains [never say anything about a noose around Black people]. The movie didn't start until after 1am.
But anyways, THE DARK NIGHT IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!! Seriously, its one of the best movies I've seen in a while. For all 2.5 hours of the film, I actually believed in these characters. The script was phenomenal, the stunts were ridiculously stupid [that means good], and HEATH LEDGER PUT IT DOWN!!!!!!! This dude played his role! Seriously, his performance rivaled Johnny Depp at his best! I was watching the red carpet premiere for the Dark Knight earlier this week, and everyone was going on and on about how Heath deserved an Oscar for his role as the Joker. I thought they were just saying that because he was dead [no offense], but this guy actually might deserve one. I really believed he was a crazy man running around the streets slashing peoples faces. All the suspense nearly killed me!
The only problems that I had with the film is one; too many black people died for no reason. At first I was like "Hey, Batman has Black people in it!" But, to my memory, the majority of the people who died were Black. The other problem was that Maggie Gyllenhaal took over the role as Rachel Dawes [formerly played by Katie Holmes]. This Maggie Gyllenhaal is UGLY! Great actress, but ugly. So ugly I just couldn't get past it!
Overall, the Dark Night is the movie to see. It combines action with horror and some serious drama. Best movie since Fight Club, and I'll probably go see it again.
