Boston Celtics x adidas Originals Phantom II

In a campaign that has seen select NBA franchises get their own adidas Originals re-release of the Phantom II, the Boston Celtics version is featured here. The largely green upper is a strong tribute to the Celts as it includes the logo on the tongue and CELTICS over the heel. A green basketball signed by Kendrick Perkins is also part of the promotional pack which will be available via Concepts.

DQM x Adidas Originals Consortium Series

DQM finally launch its new contribution to the Adidas Originals Consortium Series. This time, DQM opted for a New York blackout when it comes to their take on this 80s running favorite. Previous mixes of suede and mesh might prove a little delicate for the inclement weather the city can unleash, so this simple version of the shoe is ideally suited. Taking the white of an original colorway and applying it to the Dellinger webbed midsole, the upper is primarily constructed from a hardwearing, water-resistant fabric, including the 3-Stripes, while the matching black tongue and heeltab are made of leather. The kicks are now available via DQM New York.

Adidas Skateboarding “Diagonal” Campus Mid Vulc

To mark adidas Skateboarding’s straight-to-web video “Diagonal”, a special make-up of the Campus Mid Vulc was created. The movie created by the European faction of adidas SB features many of the team’s well-known riders Dennis Busenitz, Mark Gonzales, Tim O’Connor and Silas Baxter-Neal in addition to the likes of Chewy Cannon, Marcos Gomez, Seb Daurel, Lem Villemin and Benny Fairfax. The shoe itself follows the traditional vulcanized construction with an interesting color blocking. The majority of the shoe is black but as you hit the back, colors are injected in an overlapping sequence. The video can be seen here.

Adidas Stan Smith Trefoil Mid Pack

Creating an offspring of the original Stan Smith, adidas works up a new pack of sneakers entitled the Stan Smith Trefoil Mid, from the adidas Comfort Pack. Both kicks feature a mid/hi cut, packaged with a 3D Trefoil side emblem and ultra light uppers. Two colorways were released, including an Eggplant Purple and Metallic Gold, both of which are now available through Schuh-You. These purple ones look shockingly similar to my purple Supras.

adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott 2009 Fall/Winter Lookbook

The Adidas Originals by Originals collection for 2009 Fall/Winter is set for a debut in the coming months. Easily considered the most eclectic and innovative of the designers that have participated in the Adidas Originals by Originals sub-collection, Jeremy Scott continues on this path of provocation with some stunning looks for his sophomore capsule. We see examples for both men and women which revolve around animal prints and multi-colored TV color-bar themes on the apparel side of things as well as some more footwear designs that truly push the envelope. I can respect the artistry I see here, but some of this stuff I will not be wearing. All the shoes are a go though!
