Singer Cassie has been catching a lot of hate over this recently released photo of her on the set of a photo shoot, but I must say that I like it. Overall I don't like the shaved head thing on her [it really does not match her music or image], but there are ways to make it work, I guess.
A friend of Supra since their beginnings, Samantha Ronson was offered a chance to create her own rendition of the brand’s Indy NS model for the Fall 2009 season. The shoes are given a black/gold colorway with a distressed suede upper amongst the signature NS platform. These special Indy’s are now available through Factory 413. Additionally, Supra will be throwing an official launch party this Saturday, August 8th, at Angels & Kings in Chicago with a live DJ set by Ms. Ronson and performance by the GZA of Wu-Tang fame. Overall I think Sam could have done a better job. Black and gold is a wildly popular color combination, and I feel that this design is way too simple. As a potential customer, if I wore a black and gold shoe I would want the gold to be placed somewhere unexpected, such as the bottom, to give it an extra kick.
Italian shoe manufacturers Raparo offer a slight twist on the iconic desert boot as it looks to some unorthodox materials. Switching out traditional materials such as suede and leather, the Raparo version includes a felt upper. The solid colored upper also includes a lower-profile outsole. Available now at United Arrows.
Men Style has launched their bi-annual buyers guide for Fall. A number of high profile store owners and buyers, including Barney’s New York, Opening Ceremony, Odin and Bergdorf Goodman, have all offered their advice, creating a solid variety that will cater for a range of tastes. I gave you a brief intro to this rapper / singer / DJ / producer / blogger the other day. Now, as promised, I give you more music. Last year MeLo-X delivered one of the best mixtapes I've ever heard, Mustafa's Renaissance. As you are sure to find out, this mix is far from the average mixtape you've been listening to; it actually sounds like a REAL album. In my opinion, it sounds better than a number of albums in the stores. Take a listen; be enlightened.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, a preacher's kid, Jade grew up in a non-traditional Puerto Rican household. Music is something that came very naturally to Jade early on. At an early age she began to sing in places outside the confines of her bathroom, and it wasn’t long after that, she began to write her own songs and create her own soundtrack.
