Most Embarassing Black Person of the Week.....

I just happened to turn to VH1 last night and saw this. Luenell Campbell (born March 12, 1959) is an American comedienne and actress. She was born in Tollette, Arkansas and uses only her first name. She is the youngest of eight children. She was one of the few actual actors in the 2006 hit mockumentary-styled comedy film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. In it, Luenell plays a prostitute of the same name, a hooker with a heart of gold. She has also been seen on the BET comedy series, Comicview, and is featured on the new season of Wild 'N Out. Evidently she is now on Shock of Love which is either on VH1 or Comedy Central. The contestants are competing for 50k. I wonder what Luenell is getting paid to embarass herself and Black women everywhere?

Something for the Art Buffs.....

This just in [Lol]: Using a new technique based on "synchrotron radiation induced X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy", scientist have discovered a mystery woman under Vincent van Gogh's "Patch of Grass". The work was done by researchers at Delft University of Technology in the the Netherlands and the University of Antwerp in Belgium, along with help from other institutions. "Patch of Grass" was painted by van Gogh in Paris in 1887 and is owned by the Kröller-Müller Museum.

The Choking Game????

I caught a rerun of Oprah last night, and I was perplexed by one of the subjects that were being discussed. Apparently kids have come up with a new way to get high without drugs. Its called the choking game [no joke]. Apparently some kids wrap objects such as belts, nooses and even their hands around their necks to render themselves unconscious. Evidently when they awake they supposedly feel light headed and tingly as if they were high. Of course people have died from this, and there even is an online support group called G.A.S.P. the site includes a forum where people [even adults] are claiming to be addicted to it! I'm probably being a bit insensitive when I say this, but white kids never cease to amaze me! Why would you choke yourself to get high? It will be a chilly day in hell before kids from the hood hang themselves with a noose to get high.....

Earthquake Shakes Judge Judy

Question: whats the point in running during an earthquake? Judge Judy got the hell out of dodge lol.

McCain Can Get It in the Ear [AGAIN]!

Featured is the latest campaign smear ad by Senator McCain. What really grinds my gears about this one is that in the beginning he used images of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. I wonder if they "approve" this message. How lame is McCain for this..... And about this offshore drilling, has anyone ever thought about how drilling for oil will negatively affect coastal communities? Think about how that will damage various ecosystems? We cannot continue on with the idea that we can drill ourselves out of an energy crisis. McCain is just jealous that he can't get on Obama's level of stardom. What a loser......

Kelis Dresses Cool

I don't give a f*ck what y'all have to say about this one lol

Well, Its About Time!

According to CNN, the U.S. House of Representatives is "poised" to apologize for slavery. While many states have apologized for slavery, it will be first time a branch of the federal government will apologize for slavery if the resolution passes. This appology will also address the Jim Crow laws that were enacted between the 1870s and 1965 in southern and border states that denied Blacks civil liberties. The resolution does not address the controversial issue of reparations. Some members of the African-American community have called on lawmakers to give cash payments or other financial benefits to descendants of slaves as compensation for the suffering caused by slavery. I'm kinda on the fence about that one, but I very much doubt that that will happen. If it does, I think monetary reparations [money meant for financial security, not rims] should be given to families whose annual income is less than a certain amount. In any case I'll accept an apology just fine. For the full story click here.

Current Thought.......

Lets say that hypothetically another country invaded yours, and in the process they bombed parts of your neighborhood and killed several of your family members. You would be upset, understandably. With this new found anger, you and several others form a small militant group to fight back against the invaders by any means necessary. Would that make you a terrorist?

LMAO! Bert & Ernie get Gangsta lol...
