DC Shoes x SE Bikes PK Ripper Collection

DC Shoes is proud to introduce the PK Ripper Fixed Gear, the third installment in a series of limited edition bike projects from DC and SE Racing, all designed to embrace the heritage of the brand and the sport. A collector’s item, the PK Ripper Fixed Gear bike production will be limited to only 2,500 bikes worldwide.The Fixed Gear collaboration mixes a touch of 1970’s bike nostalgia with modern bike performance features. Inspirations for the PK Ripper Fixed Gear bike‘s design aesthetic stem directly from the original DC x SE Racing PK Ripper collaboration.
The new fixed gear bike design details are directly inspired from the classic PK Ripper BMX bike, complete with Floval tubing, Landing Gear fork and Looptail rear end. This blend of old school BMX and a modern fixed gear bike not only takes its cues from the PK Ripper BMX construction but also its colorways—Matte Black and Ball Burnished Silver.DC and SE Racing first joined together in 2007 for their exclusive limited edition project “30 Years of Radness.” The project honored 30-plus years of BMX history, and DC and SE Racing celebrated with a re-release of the PK Ripper bike in its original aesthetic for an exclusive limited edition quantity. In 2008, DC and SE Racing joined forces once again with the release of the DC x SE Racing 24” Quadangle. The Quadangle, or the Quad Looptail as it was known, was a 1980’s freestyle classic, and for the second collaboration DC and SE Racing re-released the BMX bike in for the first time ever, in a 24” version the same classic frame.
The DC PK Ripper Fixed Gear bike’s Matte Black and Ball Burnished Silver colorways will both be limited to only 1,250 each worldwide. Available now through ShopOverload.com.

Sixpack x DC Shoes Double Label Collection

DC unveils its Fall 2009 Double Label™ Project with Sixpack France. The project featuring their popular Xander model and apparel marks the most extensive collaborative project to date for the DC brand. Dubbed “Non Merci”, the Sixpack Collection draws from inspirations that cross political borders, embrace impossible love and yet harbor deep feelings. Meaning “no thanks” in French, the translation of “Non Merci” can also be interpreted as “I’m over it.” For the project, the symbol of this mindset is a beautiful blonde model that exudes “Non Merci”, placing her on an untouchable pedestal as an object of desire. Her image is displayed across the collection’s footwear and apparel line up that boasts a leather metro jacket, reversible coaches jacket, and t-shirt.

Standard x DC Shoes Admiral High

Standard ATL hits us with a look into their new collaboration alongside DC Shoes, utilizing the popular Admiral High model from the DC LIFE Collection.

After years of having their feet planted firmly in the Atlanta lifestyle market, Standard opened the doors to it’s second location in Lenox Square. To commemorate the expansion, Standard has partnered up American footwear giant DC Shoes for their first collaborative efforts. The goal in this collaboration was to represent design elements that have always been strongly present in the motif of Standard. The true red color embodies the strong presence of red accents at both locations along with the green laces and insole, which represent the artificial turf that covers the floor at the new store, as well as the live turf used at various events at the original location.

Lemar and Dauley x DC Shoes Xander Sneakers

Already holding various footwear design credits under their belt, Brooklyn-based Lamar and Dauley look towards their signature aesthetic of throwback sports-inspired culture for a new project alongside DC Shoes. The streetwear label colorup DC’s Xander model with a tonal suede effort, reminiscent of the Sea Crystal SB. Retailing for $130, a release is slated to drop at select DC accounts soon.
