Forgive me for putting M.I.A. on the best dressed list, but only she can pull it off. Ofcourse the Jonas Brothers would get best dressed, because they always are. Kudos to Miley Sirus, the kid cleans up nice. I'm kinda pissed that Solange was overlooked when it came to nominations; she recieved a whopping zero [smph!], but she came correct of the red carpet last night.

Estelle, Estelle, Estelle! WTF?????!!!!!! I caught a glipse of this last night and nearly puked [partially because of a hangover lol]. Natalie Cole, whats up with the chains. We are mostly free of oppression, I dont get it. the dress would be half way decent with out it. Paris Hilton should have never shown up. This was the Grammys aferall, and she looks like she was headed to the MTV awards after party. Cindy Lauper apparently is still stuck in the bad porion of the 80's, bless her heart. And Paula Abdule????? I have no words. Zooey Deschanel, IDK who this woman is, but yeesh!

The Grammys 2009: The Wrapup

Well, well, well! look who walked away from last night's ceremony with the first award of the night! Congratulations to J-Hud for winning best R&B album of the year; she deserved it. And who could forget that heart-felt speech and performance? She killed it! Plain and simple. That had to be one of my favorite performances last night. I cant say that it takes the cake, because Radiohead was that shit also. I'm still trying to figure out how they can be so great. I thought their performance of "15 Steps" was just genius. Also, I had to hold my breath the whole time M.I.A. was on stage. I so don't know how she made it through; her baby was due to be born last night.


When it comes to awards, i must say that Lil Wayne was robbed for "Album of the Year". Who the hell is Plant & Krauss???? And how did they win? OK, I already know how they won, but Lil Wayne had the biggest selling album of 2008. If they were counting units instead of votes he would have won. They got 1.2 million to Wayne's 3 million. Robbed! Other than that, Katie Perry entered the stage in a giant bananna! I do hate the fact that the show was 3.5 hours long. I was so ready to go to sleep. And whats up with Boyz 2 Men doing back up for Justin Timberlake [who filled in for the missing Chris Brown]? If anything, they should have been singing up front with Al Green while Justin took the back. Overall it was a good show. Kudos to Coldplay for the Srgt Pepper outfits. Ok, so by now you all have probably heard that Chris Brown was beating up Rihanna......LIES. He allegedly battered some unidentified woman after attending Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy gala in Beverly Hills. Reports show that Brown and an unidentified woman were arguing inside his vehicle around 12:30AM yesterday morning. When the pair exited the car things turned violent. A woman with visible injuries identified Brown as the attacker. A Grammy representative told The Insider that Rihanna’s face is slightly bruised from a “car accident” and she will not be able to attend or perform at the Grammy’s as scheduled. While it’s not known for certain whether he beat girlfriend Rihanna, reports are circulating that he surrendered to police at 7 p.m. and then was released after making a bail set at $50,000. Whatever the hell happened, I hope that all turns out well for the couple.

Word on the street is that Riri gave the man Herpes lol [sorry].

BET Honors....

As we all know, BET will be doing the second annual BET honors ceremony this Monday. Lets just pray that KFC will not be sponsoring this year. I would hate to see another trailblazer get a chicken award.

Here is what James had to say to Daily News in regards to her comments about Beyonce and Obama:
“I didn’t really mean anything,” James said. “Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude. … That’s probably what went into it.” Still, James acknowledged being miffed she wasn’t invited to perform her signature song for Obama’s first dance with his wife on inauguration night. James said she was “feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around.” She said she liked Beyoncé’s performance, but when asked if she thought she could have done better, James answered, “I think so. That’s a shame to say that.” James said Thursday she kept the insults rolling only because the crowd was laughing so hard, a reaction that can be heard on a recording. “Nobody was getting mad at me in Seattle,” she said. “They were all laughing, and it was funny.” She questioned how upset Obama could possibly be about the barb: “He’s got other stuff [to worry about] besides Etta James.”

Ryan Leslie is the official debut album released by American R&B singer/producer Ryan Leslie. The album is set for release on February 10, 2009 in the United States. There has already been three singles released from the album including "Diamond Girl", "Addiction", and "How It Was Supposed To Be". Of course I've already heard the whole thing, but due to legalities and a certain respect I have for this dude here, I will not be posting it.
